For 15 years and counting Mark has collaborated with Design Army founders Pum and Jake Lefebure and their wildly talented team on a range of projects including this series of award-winning films for the family-owned D.C. business, Georgetown Optician. Mark hatched the witty narratives, wrote the even wittier scripts, and collaborated on multi-channel executions. Meticulously art directed and planned, the multi-award winning films are directed by Dean Alexander.

OUR FAMILY KNOWS GLASSES
To frame (pun intended) the company’s expertise, not to mention 150 pairs of chic glasses, Design Army looked no further than the founding Voorthuis family for inspiration, and developed a multi-channel campaign to introduce the eye-obsessed family to a wider audience.

THE EYE BALL
Hot on the heels of Our Family Knows Glasses, Mark teamed up with Design Army to create The Eye Ball, the true-ish story of the Voorthuis family reunion. Mark devised a wild tale involving a short sighted optical instruments heiress, villainous butler, purloined heirlooms, and a cast of 50 hunting hounds, and also wrote the script.

EYES SAY MORE THAN WORDS
In a world that’s louder and more intrusive than ever, Creative Director Pum Lefebure imagined a place where people speak volumes without ever uttering a word. Set in the “Quietest Library on Earth” (a temple of hush), the third installment of the Georgetown Optician franchise focuses on a tyrannical “Quiet Guard” who punishes patrons for the slightest sound. But a plot to overthrow — hatched through knowing eyes and super stylish frames, of course — sparks a Silent Revolution …
